Jo is an international consultant, and media contributor, on all things afternoon tea etiquette.
Her delight in traditional afternoon tea began during her childhood - her mother would regularly host ladies, at the Hayes family home, for tea.
A lace tablecloth would be laid out, along with fine bone china teacups, and a selection of sweet and savoury treats.
The whole experience was utterly feminine, entirely civilised, and one of pure joy.
In 2011, Jo completed a piece of world-first academic research on the history of afternoon tea etiquette, as part of her Master’s degree in Journalism.
The result - 20,000 words, and the birth of Etiquette Expert.
Jo regularly hosts masterclass events, sharing her knowledge and expertise on all things afternoon tea, high tea and modern etiquette.
